Connect to Metabase

Add a Metabase datasource from the new datasource page.

Fill in the fields and click the Add Datasource button.

• Datasource Name is a human-readable display name for this datasource.
• Details is for your own notes, and supports markdown formatting.
• Endpoint is your company’s Metabase URL.
• Username is a user on your Metabase account.
• Password is the corresponding password

Using a Metabase Datasource

If you have a Metabase datasource set up, simply paste a Metabase chart URL into a Thorntale report, and we’ll try to create the exact same chart directly in the slide.

Note

We don’t allow more than one Metabase account for each Endpoint, since we use Endpoint to look for the correct account to use resolving a pasted Metabase link.
